Okehampton United Charity
Okehampton United Charity is a charity based in Okehampton and can make grants to any group or individual residing within Okehampton Town and Okehampton Hamlets (Brightley, Southcott, Meldon and Stockley). If you would like to apply for a grant or find out any information please contact the Charity Manager.
The activities of the charity include:
- Award grants to local groups and organisations.
- Providing two almshouses which are available to residents of the area of benefit who are in need, hardship or distress.
- Managing three allotment sites in Okehampton with a total of seventy plots let to residents of the area of benefit.
- Managing its remaining land holdings in the area of benefit which includes the footpath Ball Hill.

Okehampton United Charity
Makes grants to organisations and groups providing charitable benefits to the residents of Okehampton and its four Hamlets. This can include Community Facilities, Community Support, Sport and Recreation and Education. The charity also makes allocations to Okehampton College and the two Okehampton Primary Schools, the Charity also makes grants directly to residents to support them in Post 16 Education, the first year of Apprenticeships and Further Education. The Charity will consider applications for capital or running costs.
